Place Number 1 Chris Hall
Chris is currently serving his second term as councilman for Place 1 and is committed to being your servant, partner, and representative. Chris was raised on the banks of the beautiful Wilson Lake in Muscle Shoals, AL. He is a 1994 Graduate of the University of Alabama with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Commerce and Business Administration. Chris has been self-employed in the Shoals since 2003. He brings his successful business background and determination to the betterment of the quality of life of the citizens of Muscle Shoals on which he bases the principles of accessibility, approachability, and understanding. His wife, Heather, is a 1992 graduate of Muscle Shoals High School. They have two children. He and his family attend Grace Life Church in Muscle Shoals. chall@muscleshoalsal.org.

Place Number 3 Willis Thompson
Willis attends Zion #1 Baptist Church and has served as Recording Clerk and currently as deacon and church treasurer. He worked for 36 years with the Tennessee Valley Authority at Yellow Creek, Chemical Operations, Department of Defense and Wilson Hydro Plant, retired in 2015. He was a member of the Muscle Shoals City School Board for 15 years. Willis enjoys cooking, hunting, exercising and listening to music. wthompson@muscleshoalsal.org.
Place Number 4 Ken Sockwell
Ken is a lifelong resident of Muscle Shoals. He graduated from Muscle Shoals High School in 1982 and has a BS Degree in Finance from the University of North Alabama. He serves on the Northwest Alabama Cerebral Palsy Board. He and his family attend Highland Park Baptist Church. He is married to Kristi Nix Sockwell and they have 3 children, Trey, Jay, and Lauren. This is his first term as a council member and he is excited to serve his fellow citizens of Muscle Shoals. ksockwell@muscleshoalsal.org.
Place Number 5 Donnie Linley
Donnie Linley was appointed by the City Council on February 3, 2025 to serve in Place 5. He moved to Muscle Shoals in 1992. In 1993 he went to work at Muscle Shoals Utilities Board (Water and Wastewater). He joined the Army Reserve in 1989 and is currently still serving as a Sergeant Major in the 87th Training Division. To further his willingness to be more involved, he has chosen to serve his community for the refinement and growth of Muscle Shoals. His wife, Marjay, is a 1989 Muscle Shoals High School graduate and they have two children. Their son Zach (2010 MSH graduate) and wife Mollie live in Decatur, AL. They have a son Grayson. His daughter Sydney (2018 MSH graduate) is married to Nathan McDonald and they live in Huntsville, AL. Donnie and Marjay are members of Killen Church of Christ. dlinley@muscleshoalsal.org.
