Sex Offenders
Alabama Act 96-793 makes it a Class C Felony for any criminal sex offender to violate any Alabama Community Notification act of 1996 provision or to establish a legal residence within 2000 feet of any public school, private school, day care center, or any other child care facility or within 1000 feet of any of his or her former victim(s) or where, except as provided by law, a person 18 years of age or younger resides.
